About Us

The Merchant Navy Officers’ Welfare Fund (MNOWF) was established in 1972 registered under Bombay public trust Act 1950, Register No: E/4771 of 1972 (BOM).

Our main objective includes providing Medical relief to Merchant Navy Officers and their families and reimbursement of educational expenses for children pursuing professional courses. We also provide Convalescent Home facilities to the officers and their families.

The Merchant Navy Officers’ Welfare Fund and the Scheme is being managed by Trustees nominated by INSA and the MUI. The facility is available to all such Indian Officers employed in Indian shipping companies.
